Download Version 3 Beta Here
Download Version 2 Stable Here

UPDATE: Ive just tested out version 3 and you don't need to login or use the 'startx' command.

How To Use It: Right, this is a version of Linux, with tons of hacktool's built in. Now, because its a LiveCD, you must burn it to a blank CD using a ISO burner, I use Alcohol 120% You can use IMGburn if you want as well, or any other decent Image burner.
Now for the important part. When you have downloaded the LiveCD and burned it to a blank CD, Linux asks you to log in. If you are a n00b to Linux, You wont know the username and password, but that doesn't matter because im going to tell you anyway Smile

Login Credentials for Version 2: User Name: root Password: toor

What to do when you have done that: When you have successfully logged in, you have to give a command to start the Operating System. The command is "startx" without the quotes. When you have done that, Linux asks you to specify a way to boot e.g: Disable Internet. This is not important, unless you really want to of course Smile. But you can use Google to get the custom commands Wink

When you've had enough of Linux: This only applies to backtrack 2 User's! Hit ctrl+alt+del to shutdown and re-start your PC when your done Smile

And thats pretty much it Smile

Enjoy!

[[I hope you do, this took me ages to write this guide :p]]

i recommend the bt3 usb beta distro for a 1g flash drive.

my humble non-expert review:

- my laptop has issues with bt2 due to no drivers for usb controller come with the distro.
- bt3 beta iso runs slower than usb distro for obvious reasons (dependent on the data transfer speed of your flash drive. a sonly micro vault flash drive (extremely slow transfer rate) may not transfer faster than an optical drive. i have a kingston, and I don't notice a difference between running bt3 off the usb drive and slackware off laptops internal drive.
- cd iso has less content than usb distro (usb = 1g, iso = 700M).

the bt3 final versions are out and i have yet to try them out. i noticed that the usb distro is now closer to the size of the cd iso than the beta version was.
